This richly decorated porcelain bowl with monkeys and traditional Delft blue details is part of the Sharing Moments collection by Janny van der Heijden. Known as the host of the Dutch version of The Great British Bake Off and a passionate collector of Delft blue porcelain. Together with Heinen Delfts Blauw she created her own tableware collection by the name Sharing Moments.  These satirical monkeys might seem very modern but they were a popular theme on Delft blue porcelain, four hundred years ago . “Monkey business is a synonym for pulling pranks and for imitating human behaviour”, says Janny about her new design. The porcelain bowl is decorated on the inside with a more traditional Delft blue pattern, while the outside of the bowl has a modern decoration filled with climbing monkeys, exotic flowers and branches.

Dimensions: 12 cm/ 350 ml

This Tableware is dishwasher, microwave and oven safe.

Heinen Delfts Blauw is one of the few companies making real, authentic Delftware pottery. This family business once started with father Jaap Heinen and his son Jorrit painting together at the market stalls.  Hand-painting remains a great passion for the family and this aged-old craft forms the strong DNA of the company. With the efforts of the best designers, master painters and ceramic technicians, new collections are designed to the highest possible standard. The new products all honour the authentic Delftware craft, but also look to the future so that Delftware will continue to exist for generations to come.
